Sharing Their Legacy - community memories of Australians at War
A travelling exhibition by the Queensland Museum supported by the Commonwealth Department of Veteran Affairs that the Bell and District Progress Association Inc is pleased to be offered to be part of through the Museum Resource Centre of Southern Queensland and the Museum Development Officer Vicki Warden.
Through this Exhibition and the training programme community members will learn and develop Exhibition skills that will be very beneficial as this community works towards preserving our past. The opportunity to record all items offered in a new database of wartime heritage and for everyone offering items for Exhibition or the database to receive free information on how to care for them is a very worthwhile step to the preservation of local items that may be a risk.
The Exhibition included objects and photographs from the local community that tell the story of people in wartime.
