Megg Cullen
Painting and drawing has been Megg's lifelong activity. Megg says:- "Whilst I have tried some of the more modern approaches, I still paint in a traditional style. If I live long enough, I might find a niche for myself like my hero, Margaret Olley."

Cathy McClelland
Cathy has lived in the Bell District all her life and conveys the beauty of the local area and the Bunya Mountains with her traditional and contemporary artworks. Cathy has paintings in Japan and England.

Maree Cameron
Maree is a member of Flying Arts Inc. with 30 years of visual arts experience. Her works have won many awards and accolades and she has paintings in America, London and Australia wide. Maree began painting as self taught artist and has held 10 solo exhibitions and been involved with over 20 combined art shows. Maree regularly demonstrates a variety of newly learned techniques for the benefit of fellow Bell & District Art Group members. Maree was the recipient of the 2004 Wambo Shire Council Australia Day Cultural Award. Maree says:- "I believe art is a challenge and a gift. Artists are historians. Just as science is organized knowledge, art is organized emotion."

Mary Tierney
Mary studied at East Sydney Tech and Campsie TAFE. After taking time off to raise her family, she is once again enjoying her art as an active member of the Bell & District Art Group. Using her preferred medium - Oil - Mary takes her inspiration from the colour and light in the local environment, memories of former homes in the Blue Mountains and Mullumbimby and from her much loved garden.

Hermann Koovshinoff
Hermann has recently become a member of the Bell & District Art Group and is enjoying experimenting with water based mediums and oil. Hermann is a self taught artist but is endeavouring to attend tutorials and workshops conducted by Herman Pekel and Lynette Cramb through the Bell & District Art Group. The colour and atmosphere of the countryside continually inspires Herman's work. It is his ambition to travel around Australia painting as he goes.

Shirley Bridges
Shirley has enjoyed a natural talent for drawing since early childhood. Since joining the Bell & District Art Group, she has developed her techniques by way of the numerous work-shops made available to the group. A love of things unique and beautiful and the ever changing countryside as Shirley and husband Peter travel around Australia inspires much of Shirley's work.

Dorothy McPhee
Dorothy is currently president of the Bell & District Art group and enjoys the opportunity to experiment with various mediums, particularly small paintings, pen & wash and acrylics.

Avalon Mundt
Avalon is an enthusiastic member of the Bell & District Art group, and is always ready to try something new. She has attended several workshops at Clifton, as well as a McGregor Winter School with Tom Offord. Avalon enjoys painting outback scenes, and recently was awarded a "highly commended" for a work entered in the Queensland Rural Womens' Network competition. Inspired by her rural background sheep and cattle are predominately featured in her country scenes. After painting in watercolour for several she discovered a passion for pastel which is now her primary medium..

Lynette Cramb
Lyn has always had an interest in art and painting and has attended many McGregor Schools and various workshops including tutors: David Taylor, Ross Patterson, Tom Offord, Kevin Taylor, John Lovett and Herman Pekel. Her works are mainly watercolours using traditional techniques. Lyn says:- "The landscape around Bell and the beautiful Bunya Mountains has provided great inspiration for much of my recent work and I have been privileged to act as resident tutor for the Bell & District Art Group."

Leanne Jones
Leanne has lived in the Kaimkillenbun district for 30 years and to preserve her sanity during years of constant drought has now turned her attention to the visual arts experimenting mainly with water based mediums. Leanne has attended many local and regional workshops including Clifton art workshops & the McGregor Summer Schools.

Di Bidstrup
Di's love of folkart led her to take up the joy of painting and drawing a few years ago. She has completed a Flying Arts course, units 1 & 2 and attended art workshops as she eagerly pursued her artistic development. Di is encouraged by her peers and fellow artists and has gained recognition with championships and major prizes at the local shows and exhibitions. Di says:- "At present, pastel is my preferred medium but I am eager to learn about all mediums".

Jane Hoffmann
Jane has lived in Dalby most of her life, except for a five year stint in Adelaide. Drawing/sketching has been her forte using charcoal, pencil, pen and ink and pastel. It is only in the last ten years that she has stepped out into colour. Jane loves to use colours she sees everyday in her natural surroundings. Her favourite subjects are people, birds and flowers.

Robyn Buckley
For many years Robyn worked with textiles and cake decorating, but around ten years ago took up art. Robyn works in all mediums, but her greatest passion is painting flowers, portraits and commissions. Robyn says:- "To me art is the greatest stress reliever of all time."

Ruth Storey
Ruth's love of visual arts and desire for some "artistic space", led her to join the Bell & District Art Group a few years ago and is currently the secretary of the group. Ruth enjoys experimenting with all mediums and techniques and has attended several workshops both locally and regionally. Ruth says:- "The joy of being a "leisure painter" is very rewarding and I thank my family for their great support of my artistic endeavours."

Tony Brame
Tony has recently become a member of the Bell & District Art Group and is just starting out on his journey as a visual artist. Tony looks forward to learning all about the different painting mediums and techniques available to-day and is keen to pursue his art when time out from his busy work schedule allows.
